What we collect and why
When you sign up, we collect your email address and, if you choose to give it, your first name. We also keep signup, confirmation, consent and unsubscribe records. Brevo, our mailing-list provider, processes technical information needed to deliver emails, record delivery problems and protect the service, which can include IP addresses and timestamps.
With your consent, we send your requested Dirty White download and music news, releases, mixes and gig updates. Your first name is optional. Your email address is needed to send the emails. You join the mailing list only after confirming your address using the link in the confirmation email.
We use necessary delivery and security records, and a minimum opt-out record, for our legitimate interests in running the list securely and respecting your preferences.
Email reporting
Brevo uses tracking pixels and links to measure email opens and clicks. Anonymous campaign reporting is enabled: the reported opens and clicks are not linked to individual subscriber profiles. This does not remove the technical delivery and security records described above. You can prevent remote images loading through your email application's settings.
Who processes your information
We use Brevo to collect and manage subscriptions and send emails. Brevo and its contracted service providers process information to provide, maintain and secure that service. We do not sell your mailing-list details.
Brevo states that its databases are hosted within the EU, including France, Germany and Belgium. Some infrastructure and support providers operate in other countries, including the USA and India. Transfers from the UK to the EEA are covered by UK adequacy regulations. For processing outside the EEA, Brevo's data-processing agreement describes contractual protections, including Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary measures.
You can contact Gary for information about these protections and copies of relevant safeguards. Brevo's current processor terms and provider list are available at https://www.brevo.com/legal/termsofuse/ (Appendix 3).
How long we keep it
We keep your active subscription details while you remain subscribed and the mailing list operates. We review records annually and remove information no longer needed. If you unsubscribe, we stop marketing emails and retain the minimum information needed to respect your opt-out for as long as the mailing list operates. Necessary consent and delivery records are kept only while needed to document your preferences, resolve delivery issues or meet legal obligations.
Your choices and rights
You can withdraw your consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting Gary. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, erase or restrict use of your information, request a portable copy, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact Gary using the details above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.
We do not use the mailing list to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you solely by automated means.
Free mashup members collection
The members collection requires ChatGPT sign-in using the same email address you confirmed for the mailing list. Our server receives your account identifier and email address to check your confirmed subscription with Brevo and your current unsubscribe status. We do not store your email address in the download counter.
To provide three free downloads per day across the shared collection and reduce abuse, we store your account identifier, track identifier, download request identifier, London calendar date and timing information. A download counts when the server starts serving the file; a retry within five minutes uses the same allowance. The allowance resets at midnight London time. These necessary service and security records support our legitimate interests in running the collection and applying its fair-use limit.
The collection uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare hosting, database and file services. These providers process account, request and technical information to deliver and secure the service, subject to their applicable terms and privacy information. Our download-counter and request-rate records older than seven days are removed on the next authenticated visit. Provider security logs and backups can have separate retention under their terms. Unsubscribing closes access to new downloads; downloaded files remain on your device.
